I would love to hear from you

WELCOME

Hi there!  I am so glad you are here!

If we were able to meet in person, I would brew you a delicious cappuccino and ask you to stay awhile. I would want to know about your family and to hear of your joys, sorrows, and latest thrifted finds. I would ask how you have seen or heard God lately.

I would share with you that I am in that tricky middle of life stage, where children have grown and left the nest, parents are aging, and the roles which once defined me have shifted. I’ll admit to you that I am a recovering “people-pleaser” addicted to productivity. I will also tell you how I have been learning to listen to the voice of my friend Jesus, and give you my best tips so you can hear Him too.  I’ll invite you along on the journey from “auto pilot” living to a slower, more intentional way of life, which may require some purging of closets and habits.

I want to be your friendly tour guide on the midlife journey as together we overcome roadblocks and appreciate the beauty we find along the way.

In the words of one of my favorite authors, together we would pursue what it means to “listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery it is. In the boredom and pain of it, no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it, because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace.” (Frederick Buechner).

So, welcome my friend, pull up a chair and let’s talk.

Every month I send out an email to my subscribers called “A Capacity for Wings – Notes on Hope and Flourishing” and I would love to send it to you also.  Just fill in your name and email address on this form and I’ll make sure you get it. It’s my way of sharing what I am learning on this faith journey we share.
